Employers want employees who are excited and enthusiastic about the work they're doing. They expect that their employees are reliable, will show up on time, and deliver consistent results.
The best thing you can strive to be in a new position is a sponge. Employers want to see that you are open to learn about the facility, ask questions, and taking it all in. You'll want to do your best to learn the documentation system, get up to speed on policies and procedures specific to the clinic, and get the administrative stuff done quickly and accurately, so that you're able to make the biggest impact on patients.
Being open, engaged, and willing to learn is important, but it has to be coupled with a sense of rhythm that shows your new employer that you are consistent in your patient care and quality of work.
