It can be tricky to manage therapists who were once your superiors. It's a balancing act to make them feel that they are able to voice their opinions and that you will take them seriously, but that ultimately you have the final say.
You can always invite their input and respect what they have to say, but at the end of the day you're the boss. It's not your job to befriend staff or make sure that everyone likes you; it's your job to make the best decisions for the clinic.
